The petite beauty speaks on her return to small screen

The beautiful and petite Sana Amin Sheikh, last seen on TV in Krishnadasi, is eager to get back to work. “I know the break has become a tad longer, but you know how things unravel. I was about to sign a few projects but last minute something came up. But rest assured, I will be back with a bang,” she says in a candid chat with Indianwikimedia.com.

Sana, who is also an RJ with Radio Mirchi, says her continuing radio work keeps her confidence up. “I really wonder how other actors who do nothing else in Mumbai keep their hopes high between assignments.”

Sana, who has earlier done shows namely Jeet Jayenge Hum and Mera Naam Karegi Roshan, feel actors like her who are mid range  have the going easy to find fresh work, as compared to the real A list crowd. “Sakshi Tanwar must have had the going real tough after   Kahaani as you have a very set image after dong iconic characters. Luckily for her she got Bade Acche Lagte Hain to break the mould,” she says.

She also rejected the notion which many actors have that production houses are very stingy in doling out monies. “I have been lucky in the scene since I get called for select auditions based on channel recommendations, the budgets are decent but yes not too great either.  I am here to work and not just make money.”

Sana would want to try her hand at comedy again. “My first job Kya Mast Hai Life (Disney) was teenage humour so now I want to do other forms of the genres as well.  This light hearted work attracts me, but having said that getting the timing right is a lot of hard work, but as an artist, I want to keep challenging myself.”

Sana feels that the humor is in her gene. “My mom is very good at cracking jokes.”

Does this mean she will say goodbye to family drama? “No, although I have done my fair bit of the same, am game for more, let’s face this…it is our bread and butter.”

All the best, Sana!!!
