Actor Gaurav Khanna is back with Nikhil Sinha’s new show Chandrakanta as Virendra. This is not the first time Gaurav and Nikhil Sinha working together, few years back the duo work in a show called Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam. In that show Nikhil Sinha directed Gaurav Khanna.

Gaurav says,”Nikhil Sinha is the sole reason I am doing this show, I know Nikhil because I have worked with him in the past in the show Yeh Pyaar Naa Hoga Kam, where he directed me and I learned a lot of technicalities from him. I remember once he said that he will work with me in a show where he will change my image and he called me for Chandrakanta and I guess this is the show. I am in good hands.”

How will you define your role? “Virendra is a barbarian killer who speaks less and his sword speaks more than anything else. He is a character full of angst and brutal power he doesn’t know what love is, he just knows one thing to kill and win the situation. It’s a very tough character to play because he is a little complex in whatever he does so to portray him is a real task.”

Gaurav also shares that he has an excellent rapport with actress Kritika Kamra who is his costar in the show. He adds,”Kritika is a sweetheart we really work well together. We did not have to break the ice because we really connected from the first day of our mock shoot and she is a similar minded Punjabi and a foodie like me so we connect on that too. I think she looks stunning as Chandrakanta and my character is absolutely opposite to hers so the chemistry is there and am sure people will like it. She is funny on the set and understands my humour, she is really a good person.”
